Greetings,

As many of you know, the murder case involving defendant Humberto Delgado (Cpl. Mike Roberts’ killer) has been moved to Judge Anthony Black’s courtroom.  What you may not be aware of is that the trial has been tentatively set to take place over a two week period starting Monday, October 4th, 2010.  The Chief of the SAO Major Crimes Division, Assistant State Attorney Jay Pruner, is prosecuting this case and does not expect to issue subpoenas for witnesses until the end of the summer (approximately August of 2010).  Since the trial is not scheduled to take place for almost 9 months and subpoenas may not be issued for 7 months, he asked me to disseminate this information to all TPD personnel who might be called upon as witnesses for the trial so you can plan your schedules accordingly.  As always, we will keep you appraised of any changes on our TAMPAPBA.ORG website.
